Father's Day Pledge: This June, join 10,001 Men in 50 Cities

Please join us for the 5th Annual NYC Father’s Day Pledge on Wednesday, June 11, 2014  and Saturday, June 14 at 12:00 pm on the steps of City Hall, Manhattan.

Founded in 2010 by NYC Council Member Julissa Ferreras and CONNECT, the Father’s Day Pledge brings together fathers and men to make a commitment to end violence in our homes, schools and communities. This year, join CONNECTCouncil Member Laurie Cumbo and Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer as we honor Men & Fathers with Father’s Day Pledge activities throughout NYCThe presence of women is both welcomed and highly encouraged! 

Our NYC event is being replicated this year in 50 cities across the nation!

Rochester (NY) Councilman Adam McFadden, who is President of the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC-LEO), learned about NYC’s Father’s Day Pledge and contacted CONNECT Co-Executive Director Quentin Walcott for details. When Councilman McFadden presented the event to the NBC-LEO national membership, the response was immediate and enthusiastic.

This year, the 1st National Father’s Day Pledge will be observed in more than 50 cities across the United States on Saturday, June 14, 2014In honor of this historic occasion, New York City will hold a second Father’s Day Pledge rally on Saturday, June 14th at 12 pm on the steps of City Hall.
