Mental Health First Aid Training - Fall 2017

The Mental Health First Aid Training is a public education program that introduces participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, builds understanding of their impact, and overviews appropriate supports.

The training explores risk factors and warning signs of specific illnesses like anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and bipolar disorder, eating disorders and schizophrenia. In addition, it is geared to equip participants with tools they need to respond in a crisis and connect people to appropriate treatment.

The training will be conducted in partnership with the Arthur Ashe Institute and the National Center for Behavioral Health. All participants will receive certification after completing the training.
