Running Days are Done at St. Ann's Church for the Deaf

Sun, 02/21/2016 - 1:30pm - 3:30pm
209 East 16th St (off 3rd Ave), Manhattan, NY

Michelle Nickens joins CONNECT Faith and St. Ann’s Church for the Deaf with a performance of “Running Days are Done” - an engaging, thought provoking dramatic presentation based on collected interviews with women survivors of sexual abuse.

During the performance, playwright/actress Michelle Nickens brings to life the voices of disparate women who defy cookie-cutter notions of victimization – they are fully dimensional and fully human, telling the stories of their lives with courage, honesty, and even humor. As they share their stories, we begin to recognize ourselves in them, to think, to feel, to sort through, and even to celebrate.

American sign language interpreter will translate entire event on site.
