CONNECT During COVID-19

#StillCONNECTedNYC

Dear CONNECT Family, friends, partners and supporters,

For helpful information regarding COVID-19 resources available, visit our resources page here.

The pandemic has challenged all of us in unprecedented ways. In times like these, connection is more important than ever, and we want to let you know that we are still here for you.

Relationship, compassion and community are at the heart of our work. Even though uncertainty, physical separation and social distance impact our day-to-day lives right now, we are finding new ways to support one another in staying safe, peaceful and sane.

We understand the unique position that survivors are in due to staying home to minimize their and their children’s exposure to the virus. We therefore know traditional safe planning is not realistic in many cases. Survivors, we see you and are working tirelessly to find creative ways to be here for you.

To help lift the huge burden and responsibilities away from survivors, we have become even more intentional about centering our work to engage men, fathers and boys, and moving to interrupt and prevent violence in the home and community.

We have moved to the virtual realm, increasing the amount of circles and roundtables we hold, and continuing to offer weekly trauma-informed yoga for women. We are also providing virtual, text, email, and telephone support to individuals and organizations in need. For more, please visit our events calendar, here. Stay tuned for our new CONNECT Training Institute schedule as we work to get our previously scheduled spring courses online.

Please consider donating to CONNECT during these uncertain times, and be certain you are helping us continue our work to help survivors.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to staying connected. If you have any questions or concerns, you can reach us at (212) 683-0015 x216. We are thinking of you all and wish you much safety, peace and good health.

Sincerely,
The CONNECT Staff
